BIT Patna B.Tech Admissions 2018-19

B. Tech admissions to BIT Patna will be commenced in the last week of June, 2018. Interested candidates can fill the online application form through web portal or the official website of campus. The university offers a 4 year full time degree in BE/ B. Tech and a 5 year full time degree in B. Arch. the eligibility for both the courses is similar, i.e., candidates must have passed 10+2 examinations and they must acquire All India Rank in JEE (Mains)  2018. Note that admissions to NRI/PIO/SFFS will be given on the basis of marks obtained in class 12th examinations or equivalent. The other relevant eligibility details are as follows:

Candidates can pursue any of the above mentioned programmes from BIT Patna if they fulfill the eligibility requirements. The selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of their performance in qualifying examinations and the rank they obtained in JEE (Mains) 2017 exam. In case the applicants are NRI/PIO/SFFS, they must have passed class 12th examinations or equivalent to seek admission to B. Tech/ BE or B. Arch programme.

The admission process will close in 2nd week of July, 2017. Candidates must visit the official website and register themselves. Once registered, fill the application form and pay the application fee through online payment gateway of INR 2500 (General Category) or INR 1500 (SC/ST) via Net Banking, Debit Card/Credit Card. It is advisable to secure a print copy of the application form as soon as you complete the application process.

BIT Patna BBA, BBE and BCA Admissions 2018

The university offers undergraduate courses in the field of Business Administration, Business Economics and Computer Applications as well. The courses offered at BIT Patna will have duration of 3 years. The application dates for BBA, BBE and BCA are different from B. Tech and B. Arch courses. Candidates who are interested in these courses must apply till 3rd week of June, 2018. The online application process will begin in the last week of April, 2018 from the official web portal of the university.

The basic eligibility for candidates applying to these courses is that they must have successfully passed their higher secondary examinations. The details regarding eligibility criteria set by BIT Patna have been given below for the convenience of the candidates.

The admission process will begin in the last week of April, 2018. Admission procedure can be completed via official website by following the process given below:

• Register yourself on the admission portal ad obtain a username and password.
• Use the username and password to log in ad fill the credentials required in the application form.
• Proceed to the payment gateway to make payment through net banking/ credit card/ debit card.
• Secure a print copy of the application form and application number.

The selection of the candidates will be based on their merit, i.e., their scores and academic performance in the qualifying examinations. It must be noted that the relaxation of 5% is given to the reserved category candidates for qualifying examination aggregate marks.

BIT Patna ME and M. Tech Admission 2018

BIT University Patna offers a variety of PG courses for the eligible candidates. At the time of application for Undergraduate courses, aspirants can apply for PG Courses such as ME and M. Tech. The specializations offered for both the courses are Electronics and Communication and Computer Science respectively. The courses are of 2 years’ duration.

The eligibility required by the applicants for these courses is as follows:

The admission process will begin in the last week of April, 2018 and will continue till 1st week of June, 2018. Candidates who are required to sit for the entrance exam conducted by BIT will give the written test in 2nd week of July, 2018. The dates will be notified later on the official website.

The selection of the candidates will be for both, GATE qualified candidates and Non- GATE qualified candidates. For GATE qualified candidates, 80% weightage is given to GATE score while 20% to the marks obtained in Class 10, 12 and Graduation. Non-GATE candidates will be admitted on the basis of their academic performance and entrance test. The weightage of the entrance test in preparation of the merit list will be 80% and 20% for academic performance of class 10, class 12 and graduation.

BIT Patna Ph.D Admission 2018

BIT Patna has various PhD courses to offer to aspiring candidates. The specializations offered for research courses are: Civil Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Production Engineering, Management, Applied Physics, Applied Chemistry, Applied Mathematics. Candidates who wish to pursue research work in any of these subjects must possess a master’s degree in relevant field. Other eligibility conditions are as follows:

The admissions to research programmes are commenced in the 1st week of April every year. Interested candidates will have to carry out the application procedure through online portal till last week of April, 2018. The complete application form will be sent to the office of Dean, Admissions and Academic Coordination, Birla Institute of Technology, Patna along with the required documents.

The selection process will include a written test and interview session. The academic records of the candidates will be considered duly. Only such candidates, who obtain the minimum required marks in Aptitude Test, Subject Specific Test and the indicated total percentage of marks, will be considered for final preparation of result as given below:
