Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (LUVAS), is one of the premier University which is located in Hisar, Haryana. It was established in year 2010. The University offers various UG, PG and Ph.D. courses in B.V.Sc & A.H, B.Tech, M.V.Sc. and Ph.D. respectively to constituent and affiliated colleges.
Admission to all the courses in LUVAS is done on the basis of entrance examination conducted by the university.
For B.V.Sc & A.H, candidate must have passed 10+2 with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology with 50% aggregate marks from a recognized board / university.
For B.Tech, candidate must have passed 10+2 with English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with 50% aggregate marks from a recognized board / university.
The University provides 5% relaxation to reserved category students.
SC candidates need to get pass in 10+2 with 47.5% aggregate marks in all the four subjects mentioned.
No such relaxation will be provided to Management quota seats.
The upper age limit is 25 years as on 31st December, 2017.
The upper age limit shall be relaxed to 5 years of age for SC / BC candidates.
The entrance examination conducted by the university shall be conducted in the month of July, 2018.
The university accepts online mode only.
The University also gives admission to NRI and Foreign Nationals for which admission will be done on the basis of entrance examination.
Final admission will be decided on the basis of documents received by Competent Authority.

The university offers B.V.Sc. and B.Tech in Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry and Dairy Technology. Candidate must have passed 10+2 with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology with aggregate of 50% marks obtained together from a recognized board for B.V.Sc.

Admission to UG courses in LUVAS is done on the basis of entrance examination conducted by the University. Candidate need to apply to the official website of university for appearing in entrance examination. Final admission of NRI and Foreign National will be given on the basis of entrance exam but final selection will depend on documents submitted to the Competent Authority. Last date to apply for admission in in the month of July, 2018.
Scholarship
The University provides scholarship to students on the basis of UG courses, ICAR scholarship and Financial Assistance to candidate possessing Haryana Resident Certificate only on the basis of merit.
Scholarship to UG Students: Scholarship to students admitted in B.Tech in Dairy Technology through merit of entrance exam only.
Scholarship of INR 800 per month to students of Haryana Resident only.
Scholarship of INR 1200 per month is given to girl students.
ICAR Scholarship: The Indian Council of Agricultural Research awards National Talent Scholarship of INR 1000 to UG students only for which they must pursue studies in State Agricultural/ Veterinary University.
Scholarship will be provided on the basis of merit of Entrance Exam conducted by ICAR.
Financial assistance is also given to needy students in form of books, payment of fees, etc.
